Hillside Family Escape
The clients had just taken a huge life step by building their own, custom home. But a new home isn’t complete without the perfect backyard! The couple wanted a gorgeous pool, luxe water features, and a great entertaining space to complement their new home and amazing property views. They trusted the design details to our licensed Landscape Architect to work out independently.
We impressed these homeowners with a creative and functional design, starting the project off on the right foot. As the design phase of the project wrapped up, Alderwood’s professionalism and attention to detail convinced the homeowners that they needed to choose Alderwood to build their dream backyard resort.
Construction took 16 weeks, including the construction of the pool completed by Pool World. The entire project was completed on time and on budget. During the construction process, Alderwood and Pool World collaborated to solve an issue with the soil compaction beneath the pool floor. There was also significant cut and fill work done to the landscape. As a result, the balance and compaction of the soil in conjunction with a new pool offered a rare challenge to our experienced team. Pool World was great to work with during the entire process, and together we solved any and all issues that arose on-site.
Working with the couple, Alderwood’s team developed a design plan with large boulder walls, a large family swimming pool with laminar jets and tiki torches, a pergola by the pool, landscape lighting, custom fire pit, private hot tub area, and plantings.
